Boyfriend stab girlfriend 49 Times Because She Wanted To Break Up With Him

Man Stabs Lover 49 Times Because She Wanted To Break Up With Him

Boyfriend stab girlfriend to death because she want a break up
A boyfriend killed his girlfriend by stabbing her 49 times with a knife because she wanted to break up with him.
Joe Atkinson, 25, stabbed Poppy Devey Waterhouse, 24, at the Leeds flat they shared.
She had broken off their three-year relationship in October 2018 but Atkinson couldn't come to terms with it. Fueled by a jealous rage, in the early hours of December 14, he burst into the flat they still shared after arriving home from his work Christmas party and stabbed her.

He inflicted more than 100 separate injuries. These included 49 knife injuries and 23 separate stab wounds all over her body.
Medics rushed to the property after the alarm was raised but it was already too late. The brief inquest hearing was told that a post-mortem examination revealed that Poppy died from "head and neck trauma".

Poppy Devey Waterhouse, who was originally from Frome, in Somerset, was described as a prodigiously talented mathematician. She was brilliant and beautiful and had her whole life ahead of her.
Leeds Crown Court heard how Poppy had been killed 11 days before last Christmas.
In a victim impact statement that was read out in court, Miss Devey Waterhouse's mother, Julie Devey, said:

As a parent, my basic duty is to make sure that I keep my children safe.
I failed, and I have to carry that failure with me at all times, wherever I go, whoever I am with, whatever I am doing.
I kept scraping my hands across the floor boards where she had been left screaming and dying.
I just wanted to scoop her up and save her.
I now live my life with a split-screen, on one half I can see the now, and on the other half that horrific scene.
Last Friday, Atkinson pleaded guilty to murdering Poppy. He was this afternoon jailed for life with a minimum of 15 years.

Flying With Your Heart In Your Mouth By Ehi Brahman.

Flying With Your Heart In Your Mouth By Ehi Brahman.

Writer:Gabriel

Ehi Brahman said flying with your heart in your mouth. Dailysunnews9ja report

Ehi Brahman speak about Ethiopian Airline crash
These are certainly not the best of times for the global aviation industry with the news of another Boeing 737 Max 8 dropping off the sky recently. An Ethiopian Airlines passenger plane, a
Boeing 737 Max 8 carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members, crashed last Sunday in Bishoftu, near Addis Ababa.

the Ethiopian capital, shortly after take-off. It was meant to be a two
hours flight to Nairobi, Kenya – a regular flight schedule — that ended in a tragedy killing everyone on board and the whole world is united in grief.

CNN’s Richard Quest says brand new planes should not be falling off the skies during an interview on the global news network in the aftermath of the crash – this would be the second
crash of a Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft within a space of six months.

This news is not good to the ears and it must be causing Boeing a nightmare and a global PR challenge.

On October 29 last year, a Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft operated by Lion Air, an Indonesian carrier, also suffered the same fate — the plane crashed into the Jakarta Sea 13 minutes after take-off from Soekarno International airport, killing all the 189 passengers and crew on board. It was meant to be a short one hour flight to Pangkal Pinang.

Read: Ethiopian Airline crash With 157 Passengers on Board

When I checked online resources using Google search, available information on recent plane crashes indicate that the Indonesian carrier, after taking off from runway 25L, made a climbing
left-hand turn after which the crew radioed a request to return to the airport.

The aircraft then showed an erratic pattern of flight and began losing altitude until it crashed into the sea, nine
miles off the Jakarta coast.

The flight data recorder showed the air speed indicator malfunctioned on the last four flights of the aircraft, a deeply troubling revelation and a matter of
grave concern for aviation authorities and Boeing engineers. Flight ET302 also crashed shortly after take-off last Sunday, and passengers of 35 different nationalities lost their lives including two Nigerians.

Prof Pius Adesanmi, a literary scholar based in Canada and Ambassador Abiodun Bashua, a former UN diplomat.

Expectedly, there have been reactions concerning the design and configuration of the aircraft from China and Ethiopia – both countries, according to media reports, have suspended the operation of Boeing 737 Max 8 which is the latest upgrade in the 737 series.

A lot of travellers around the world are genuinely concerned about the tragedy because Ethiopian airlines (ET) have built a great reputation as an African airline that can be trusted especially as it prides itself as “The New Spirit of Africa”.

ET was founded on December 21, 1945 but commenced operation on April 8, 1946 – 73 years ago. With a fleet size of 108 operating aircrafts and a pending order of 65 aircrafts – some owned and others leased. The airline operates the youngest fleet in Africa and most of the airline’s passengers are Nigerians with very positive feedbacks.

Back home, Air Peace, now in its fifth year and operating about 90 flights daily on its domestic and regional routes, had to issue a press statement to clarify the mixed messages on their
pending order for 10 brand new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircrafts.

Read: US conducts Airstrike after,Somali troops are attacked

According to Chris Iwarah, corporate communications manager of Air Peace, the airline was closely following and monitoring the developments on issues involving the aircraft that prioritises the safety and well-being of their passengers.

He noted that Boeing and the aviation authorities can satisfactorily address all the challenges posed by 737 Max 8 aircrafts once on-going investigations are concluded. Air Peace is responsible for 75% of all the domestic flights to 14 cities and five regional destinations – Accra, Banjul. Dakar, Freetown and Monrovia. The airline, under the leadership of Barrister Allen Onyeama, is poised to launch its international operations with the Boeing 777 aircrafts in its fleet.

When you visit our local and international airports, what you find are Nigerians – in great numbers – who ready to board the next available flights to their various destinations. The challenges in the aviation sector in Nigeria are legendary and evident for all to see.

Read: Lady Gives birth to a bouncing baby boy by the Road on Her way To Vote

For example, our airport infrastructures are shambolic and nowhere near what you find in other countries; some airports cannot operate at night because they do not have instrument landing systems; airport security can be better; aviation fuel and landing charges, I’m told, are very
expensive! These issues among other bureaucratic bottlenecks such as the politics of relevance and power play by the regulatory authorities pose serious safety concerns and create panic
attack each time passengers are at the airports for their scheduled flights.

I know some people who prefer to travel by road even when you assure them that air travel is still the safest option. One of them, a former congressman, travels by road from Lagos to Abuja regularly; sometimes, he goes as far as Kaduna, Kano and Sokoto. He tells me he’s happy with the road trips because he was lucky to have missed an ill-fated flight several years ago.

To start with, our roads are very unsafe with several bobby traps called pot holes resulting in multiple accidents and deaths of road users. By the time you add the ugly experience of
passengers and drivers who are constantly ‘molested’ by uniformed officers on the highways, and not forgetting the menace of armed robbers, kidnappers and ritual killers, you will discover that road trips can be harrowing.

After so many years of trying, the Lagos – Benin expressway is still struggling to get a pass mark; it ought to have at least four lanes on both sides by now You’re not even sure of the condition of the vehicles on the roads – from their engines to tyres, brakes, break lights, side and rear mirrors and so on.

Speed limits are rarely observed – most accidents are caused by over speeding and when the driver sleeps off. This is the reason why air travel is still an attractive option in Nigeria for busy executives and business people.

Once the doors of the aircraft are shut and the belly lifts up and points skywards, one can only hope for a safe flight; at over 30,000 feet above sea level, there’s little you can do.

When technical problems arise or when the plane flies into a bad weather – which we do not pray for but it happens – pilots have been trained to explore the best options available in the circumstance. I recall a local flight where the pilot asked the cabin crew to sit throughout the flight because of bad weather. Before we took off, it had rained cats and dogs with menacing
dark clouds and intermittent claps of loud thunderstorms.

When we finally landed after spending more time in the air, I remember saying to myself: did we really have to embark on that flight? Turbulent weathers come unannounced and sustained turbulence can be wreck your nerves and make you uncomfortable.

Read: Singer Zlatan Gifted his Girlfriend new Mercedes Benz for her birthday

By the time the plane touches down, there’s a feeling of conquest and the phones go off the hook in a moment of excitement, as we call family, friends and loved ones to announce that the
flight landed safely. Before boarding, the message would have been, “Safe flight”, but after landing, what you hear is, “Thank God for safe arrival”. May we continue to fly in safety an comfort in Nigeria and around the world.

Tragedy: Ethiopian Airline crash With 157 Passengers on Board

Ethiopian Airlines crash: Boeing 737 crashes near Addis Ababa

Writer: CNN’s Max Ramsay

Dailysunnews9ja

The plane, a Boeing 737-800MAX with flight number ET 302, lost contact at 08.44 am local time soon after taking off, at 08:38 am local time, from Bole International Airport in the Ethiopian capital, the airline said in a statement.

The aircraft went down around Bishoftu, southeast of Addis Ababa. The airline believes there were 149 passengers and eight crew members on board.

“At this time search and rescue operations are in progress and we have no confirmed information about survivors or any possible causalities.”

“Ethiopian Airlines staff will be sent to the accident scene and will do everything possible to assist the emergency services,” the airline added.

The airline added that a passenger information center and hotline “will be available shortly for family or friends of those who may have been on flight.”

The Ethiopian government expressed its “deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning,” the office of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said on Twitter.

Ethiopia Airlines has gained the reputation of being one of the best airlines in Africa. It has a good safety record and the newest fleet of planes on the African continent, according to its website.
The Boeing 737-800MAX is the same type of plane as the Indonesian Lion Air jet that crashed soon after takeoff from Jakarta — killing 189 people.

The last major accident involving an Ethiopian Airlines passenger plane was in January 2010, when a flight from Beirut went down, killing 83 passengers and seven crew.

President Muhammadu Buhari react to terror attack on Kenya

On Wednesday commiserated with the government and people of Kenya on the deadly terrorist attack on a hotel and office complex in Nairobi.

At least 15 persons were reported killed when suspected militants on Tuesday attacked a compound in the Westlands district of the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, which houses the DusitD2 luxury hotel complex and offices.

The Somalia-based terrorist group, Al-Shabab, had already claimed responsibility for the attack.

Reacting, in a condolence message issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja, Buhari condemned the attack, describing it as “wicked, cruel and dastardly by evil people.’’

Buhari assured President Uhuru Kenyatta that the thoughts of the people of Nigeria are with Kenyans at this moment of their national grief.

The President called on well-meaning members of the international community to rally round Kenyans to overcome the scourge of terrorism “because any terrorist attack on one country is an attack on all countries.”

He prayed almighty God to console the bereaved families and quicken the recovery of the several injured people.

Man sent to jail for allegedly impregnating 12-year-old girl..

An Ikeja High Court has arraigned a 40-year-old businessman identified as Nwanne Nwaora for allegedly defiling and impregnating his neighbour’s 12-year-old daughter.

According to the prosecution, Nwaora defiled the pupil in November 2015 in her parents’ apartment.

He is alleged to have lured his victim’s brother out of the apartment by sending him on an errand.

After the incident, the defendant allegedly threatened to kill the pupil if she revealed it to anyone.

Few months later, the pupil’s mother noticed changes in her body and confronted her, thereby making her to reveal what happened.

NAN reports that the two-year-old child born as a result of the defilement was in court with her mother and grandmother.

However, the accused, through his counsel, Mr Worer Obuagbaka, requested that the case be settled out of court in the interest of the child produced by the unlawful act.

Obuagbaka told the court, that if he is sentenced to life imprisonment, the interest of the new child will be at risk.

“If the case is settled out of court, and the defendant asked to take care of the child and the defiled child (complainant), that is enough punishment.

“If he is jailed, it will not be in the interest of the new child who will go through trauma knowing that her father is languishing in jail.

“I will like to request for an adjournment to enable us to interact with the relations of the victim so that the defendant will be made to take care of the new child and the defiled child by an order of this court.” He said.

Objecting, the lead prosecution counsel, Mr Y. G Oshoala, said that Nwaora must lawfully pay for the alleged crimes.

He said, “Contrary to the submission of the learned defence counsel, two witnesses – the victim and her mother – are in, and I learnt they have been to court on seven or more occasions.

‘’He also lured his victim’s brother out of the apartment by sending him on an errand.

‘’After the incident, the accused allegedly threatened to kill the pupil if she would reveal it to anyone.

“The defendant defiled a 12-year-old child and another child was produced from that act.

“The defendant should plead guilty; during allocutus (plea for mercy before sentencing), the defence counsel can bring up the points he is canvassing.

“The defendant should not eat his cake and have it; he should assume legal responsibility for his actions,” Oshoala said.

Ruling, the Chief judge, Justice Josephine Oyefeso told the court that “I have considered very carefully the submissions of the learned counsel; I have considered that the defence counsel has only been briefed and that a plea bargain agreement is being requested by the defence.

“In view of the fact that the defence counsel has not been served with the proof of evidence, I will grant an adjournment.

“The case is adjourned until Jan. 7, 2019, for definite trial or report of a plea bargain,” Oyefeso said.

The offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, which prescribes life sentence for anyone found guilty of the offence.

I Only Dated Her For One Year’ – Man Whose Son Was Killed By Jealous Lady In Lagos.

Mr Promise Samuel, whose son was murdered by his former lover, Chineye Ndubuife, at the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos State last week Wednesday, yesterday countered all the allegations leveled against him by the woman.

One of the allegations raised by Ndubuife after murdering two-year-old Wisdom, was that Samuel dated her for several years, made her to carry out several abortions, leading to her womb being damaged, but eventual didn’t marry her.

When it was time for Samuel to marry, he went to his village to take a wife. Ndubuife, 30, was alleged to have admitted killing the boy after she was arrested by policemen from the Tolu Police Station.

She told police that Samuel made her to carry out five abortions while they were dating. According to Samuel, he and Ndubuife dated for just a year and during those months, the lady never had any abortion for him.

A grieving Samuel said: “For the period we dated, I took very good care of her. When it was time for me to marry, I went for my town’s lady; someone from Akwa- Ibom State. In fact, I still used to give Chineye money after I got married. I don’t know what else she wanted from me. I was surprised when she claimed that I damaged her womb.

She was just angry that I left her for another lady.” Remembering the event leading to the discovery of the body of Wisdom, Samuel said that immediately he received a phone from his wife that their son was missing, he had quickly jumped into his car and drove recklessly, almost ramming into people.

When he got home, the search for Wisdom heated up and he was eventually found. Samuel said: “We later found my son inside the toilet. His head was covered with a red cloth. That was how I found the remains of my son. I immediately went to Tolu Police Station to lodge a complaint.

The policemen came and arrested everyone in the house, including my landlord. The police later got to known that it was Chineye that killed my boy. They found out when Chinasa, niece of Chineye was crying. She said that her aunt sent her to go and buy noodles. Chinasa said that when Wisdom wanted to go with her, Chineye refused. On hearing that, the police arrested Chineye. She later confessed to the crime at the police station.” Wisdom’s distraught mother, Mrs. Menyene Promise, said that she fainted when she saw the corpse of her son. She recollected: “I was sleeping in our apartment when Chineye sent Chinasa to call my son.

I sent her away, but she came back, explaining that her aunt (Chineye) wanted to give Wisdom some academic tutoring. I allowed Wisdom to go because he was crying. I didn’t know that would be the last time I would see my son.” The woman continued: “When I woke up, I went outside to check on Wisdom. But everyone said they had not seen him. That was how I started searching for him.

I called his father and told him the development. He rushed home and we both started searching for him. Unfortunately, Chineye had killed my son before Chinasa returned from where she went to buy the noodles. I have not been myself since discovering my son’s corpse.”

The suspect’s and complainant’s landlady, Mrs Esther Samudare, urged the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi to investigate the case very well and prosecute Chineye accordingly. She added: “The mother of Wisdom conceived him in this my house. The boy was also killed in this my house. I don’t see why a woman would kill another woman’s son because the father of the boy didn’t marry her.

It’s bad!” The President of Akwa- Ibom forum in Ajegunle, Olodi Apapa zone, Mr. Marshal Udom, explained that when the incident occurred, he went to the police station. He heard Chineye confessing to have killed Wisdom because she, “wanted to punish his father.” She said that the boy’s father had wronged her. She said that she couldn’t conceive anymore due to abortions she had done after getting pregnant for Samuel.” Udom further said: “The suspect told the Tolu Divisional Police Officer (DPO) that it was Samuel she wanted to kill, but all efforts to kill him failed. She then decided to go after his son.

While attempting to kill Samuel, she would go to a spot where she and Samuel used to meet as lovers; fortunately, Samuel had stopped going there. “And then she went for Wisdom. She lured the boy to come to her apartment for a lesson. She then sent her niece, Chinasa to go and buy noodles.

She took Wisdom; hit his head on the wall before she finally used a stone to smash on his head. She then dumped his body inside toilet. Before I returned from the police station, Samuel had buried Wisdom, but we exhumed and deposited his remains at the military hospital mortuary, Yaba, awaiting autopsy.” The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chike Oti, while confirming the incident, added that the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

An eye witness, Mr Samuel Emma said immediately after the explosion, fire emerged from the shop, adding that the owner was slightly burnt and was rushed to hospital.

“We don’t know his situation now, but from there, the fire extended to the rest of the shops and only a few items were salvaged.

“We thank God no life was lost. We called the fire service but for close to two hours we didn’t see them until one fire service vehicle from Kaduna State University came and was chased away by angry neighbors,” he said.

A resident, Hamza Ado said: “we called the fire fighters but they didn’t come and when we called again we were told that they had no water in their vehicles.

”It was the youth that fetched water from all available sources to control the blaze.”
